NEP UK: Warehouse Operative (Bracknell)

Department: NEP UK
Location:

Warehouse Operative
Permanent | Bracknell HQ

Be part of what happens before we go live

At NEP UK, we help bring some of the world’s biggest live sporting, entertainment and broadcast events to audiences everywhere. Behind every successful production is a huge amount of preparation, and that starts with our teams at base.

We’re looking for a Warehouse Operative to join us at our Bracknell HQ and play an important part in getting our people, equipment and technology ready to go on the road.

This is much more than moving equipment around a warehouse. You’ll work hands-on with professional broadcast kit, help prepare our outside broadcast trucks and flypack systems, and make sure everything needed for a production is checked, organised and ready to perform when it reaches site.

If you enjoy practical work, like being part of a busy team and have an interest in technology, logistics or live events, this could be a great opportunity to build your experience within the broadcast industry.

What will you be doing?

Getting our productions ready

No two productions are quite the same, and you’ll play a key part in making sure the right equipment gets to the right place, in the right condition and at the right time.

You’ll:

  • Prepare broadcast equipment and technical kit against production load lists and requirements

  • Carry out pre-deployment checks, making sure equipment is complete, clean and ready to use

  • Help load and unload our outside broadcast (OB) vehicles, ensuring equipment is handled and secured safely

  • Support the preparation of flypack systems and other production equipment before they head to site

  • Help return OB trucks and flypacks to their standard configuration after productions, testing, restocking and preparing equipment for its next job

Keeping everything moving

Our warehouse is a busy operational hub supporting productions across the UK and beyond. You’ll help keep it organised, accurate and running smoothly by:

  • Receiving, checking and storing incoming equipment

  • Using our asset management systems to scan, register and track broadcast equipment

  • Supporting stock control and ensuring equipment is stored correctly

  • Preparing shipping and dispatch documentation

  • Coordinating deliveries, collections and equipment movements with colleagues and external suppliers

  • Helping maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment

Working as one team

You won’t be working in isolation. You’ll be part of a wider team of people who make live production happen, working closely with colleagues across Base Operations, Engineering and Technical Maintenance.

You’ll learn from people with significant experience in broadcast and live production, support the preparation of our technical facilities and have opportunities to get involved in wider projects and improvements to how we work.

What are we looking for?

You don’t necessarily need a background in broadcasting. We’re interested in people who bring the right attitude, enjoy practical work and are keen to learn.

You’ll ideally be someone who:

  • Is practical, organised and hands-on, with strong attention to detail

  • Takes pride in getting things right and looking after equipment

  • Can work effectively in a busy environment where priorities can change

  • Is proactive and willing to get stuck in and help the wider team

  • Communicates well and enjoys working collaboratively

  • Is comfortable using basic IT systems and willing to learn our specialist equipment and asset-management systems

  • Can prioritise different tasks and manage their time effectively

  • Brings a positive, flexible approach to both the work and the people around them

Experience within a warehouse, logistics, technical, events or equipment-handling environment would be useful, but it isn’t essential if you can demonstrate the right skills and attitude.

A forklift licence would be an advantage, although training can be provided. A full UK driving licence would also be useful.

What’s in it for you?

Your work goes further than the warehouse

The equipment you prepare at our Bracknell base could go on to support some of the most exciting live productions in the UK and beyond. You’ll be contributing directly to the technology and infrastructure that makes those broadcasts possible.

It’s also an opportunity to join an industry where there is always something new to learn. Broadcast technology continues to evolve rapidly, and you’ll be working around specialist equipment, experienced technical teams and a wide range of production environments.

Learn, develop and grow

We want people to be able to build their knowledge and develop their careers with us. You’ll have opportunities to:

  • Gain hands-on experience with professional broadcast equipment and technology

  • Learn from experienced colleagues across our operational and engineering teams

  • Develop your understanding of OB trucks, flypacks and live production workflows

  • Build broader technical, operational and logistics skills through experience on the job

  • Access online learning and development resources

  • Undertake relevant training, including forklift training where required

  • Explore opportunities to develop and progress as your skills, experience and interests grow

Whether you already have warehouse experience or you’re looking for a way into the world of broadcast and live production, this is an opportunity to learn from people who know the industry inside out and build skills that can take you further.

The Practical Details
